Truth is what remains when the false is denied.

Every act of creation is first an act of destruction

(Pablo Picasso)

Time Saving Truth from Falsehood and Envy
François Lemoyne (1688–1737)
The Wallace Collection

If it feels like suffering,

look closely.

Nothing mystical at all.

Just false desire.

Imagined fear.

And the ancient mistake:

“I am a separate someone.”

Destruction

is not violence,

it is subtraction.

The mind

built the mirage,

so the mind

must dismantle it.

Through

inquiry,

through

self-investigation,

through

affectionate awareness.

Not to “find” truth.

Truth does not hide.

Only the false

pretends to stand

in front of it.

You are not

what you see.

You are not

what you feel.

You are not

what you remember.

You are not

what you call “me.”

Stay with the naked sense:

I Am.

Before it dresses itself

in body,

story,

and future.

Hold the attention

there,

quietly,

until the mind stops moving,

and the world stops insisting.

This is the destruction

that frightens the ego:

the loss of doership,

the collapse of identity,

the leap into th unknown.

But what falls

is only the costume.

The Real

cannot

be born

or die.

It cannot be created,

because it is always there.

Like the sun

when the clouds are gone,

you did not make it shine,

you only removed what blocked your seeing.

So deny the false

as false.

Turn away

from desire

and fear.

Refuse

the thought

its throne.

Discard

what is not yours

until nothing is left.

Cease

doing whatever you think

that you are doing.

What remains

is not a thing.

Yet,

it is unmistakable.

If you became nobody

for one breath

… what would still be here?

Yo lo Creo/

I believe and so it is

Real teachings liberate, they dissolve the illusion that anything was ever needed.
