Waves are the voices of tides. Tides are life.

(Tamora Pierce)

Tides are fascinating. Seeing them manifest in form is spectacular, and there are settings that make them more vivid, while maintaining them mysterious, and making them lovable.

I am amazed and puzzled with the huge amount of water that moves up and down the sea shore, relentlessly, unstoppable, moving all the time, either going up or down, with force, determination, certainty, sometimes in calmness others with fury.

It is noticeable, only when you notice, because you cannot perceive it, unless you pay attention.

You stare at the sea and see the waves coming, once, twice, thrice, and it continues again, and again, and again; it never stop, it never rests, its sound soothes you, caresses you, bewitches you.

The attention is on the waves, they look the same, although each one is different. There are bigger ones, some are imperceptible, some break with force, others are timid to splash on the shore. You look at them and they are rhythmic, each one different, but all follow a perfect pattern, rhythm, synchrony, they all dance to the sound of that music that only some can listen.

Within that rhythmic dance, the waves are moved by a tide that goes above and beyond their movement, which never stops, always continues.

The dance within the dance.

The one you can only see if you pay attention, because once you notice, you tend to be surprised, even when you are paying attention.

The change is within the tide, the waves continue doing their thing, but the tide is the one shifting it all, moving from one plane to the next, up or down all the time.

We move like waves, going up and down continuously, relentlessly.

There are times where we rise strong to the skies; others, we barely make it to the surface.

Some, we move calmly; others, we storm with fury.

On occasions, we revolve around ourselves; others, we swiftly flow with the whole.

We get lost in the detail and drama represented by each of the waves that constitute our own existence and end up believing we are the waves and we are the ones moving, the ones that are rising, until we break and fall back unto the sea, only to rise again, and again, and again.

What may go unnoticed is the tide, the one that is rising whether we like it or not, and while we may be lost in our own ripple, provoked by our waves moving up and down, we may not be noticing that each movement of our wave is being experienced from a different height, as the global tide is ascending with us, whether we notice or not.

Blessed we are for living in this extraordinary times.

Let yourself move, enjoy the rhythm of the flow, listen to the music, love the high notes and stay still to regenerate when the notes are low or when you are able to listen to the silence.

Remember and trust. We never stay up, and never stay down. Love the movement, enjoy the dance. Honour where you are.

Be who you are, wherever you are, here and now.

Observe and feel the tide rising, trust and surrender to the uprise, let yourself be elevated to a new plane of existence, be yourself, who you really are, here and now.

I believe so, and so it is/
