THE MYTHS

THE MYTHS (Servants of Truth III)

Becoming the Stories That Remember Us.

No epigraph. No suggested song.

This time, may the words and music that remember you accompany the reading.

The Living Word taught us that the Word takes flesh first in the one who carries it, and that every Word carries responsibility.

The invisible became embodied. Truth entered thought, Body, gesture, choice and life.

Then came Surrender to teach us that what we relinquish is not the self, but false authorship.

We discovered that we are not the authors of the whole, but responsible participants in its becoming. The embodied self became transparent. Authenticity became reciprocity. Reciprocity became service.

Only now can we enter the eternal movement.

For once a Word has been lived, and a life has been surrendered, something remains.

A wound transformed. A kindness received. A silence remembered. A person who is no longer there. Something happened. Someone remembers. Someone tells. And a story begins.

Perhaps the question is no longer: What story do I want to tell about my life?

Perhaps it is: What story has this life become through the way I have lived it?

A lived life leaves traces. We gather those traces into meaning. Meaning becomes story. But no story belongs entirely to the one who tells it. Our lives happen in relationship. The same event enters different bodies. Different memories. Different wounds. Different loves. Different horizons. Our children will remember us differently. Our companions another way. Those we wounded will carry one story. Those we served another. And we ourselves will tell a different story at different moments of our lives.

Which one is true?

Perhaps all may contain something true.

But none contains the whole of Truth.

We learned this before. The fragment becomes false when it declares: I am the whole.

The same is true of our stories.

A story becomes dangerous when it ceases to remember that it is a story.

When interpretation becomes fact. When memory becomes possession. When one perspective requires all others to disappear. When the teller mistakes the telling for the whole of what happened.

Truth is larger than any story we can tell about it. And still, we need stories.

We have always needed them. To transmit. To belong. To mourn. To celebrate. To return. Story gathers what time has scattered.

But when story is carried from one life into another, something changes.

It no longer belongs only to memory. It enters relationship. It is reinterpreted, embellished, forgotten, recovered, passed on. And slowly, story becomes lore.

Lore is not a perfect record of what happened. It is what a people continue carrying because somewhere within the telling they recognise something of themselves.

A story tells us what happened. Lore begins to tell us what it means that it happened to us. And sometimes, if the story remains alive long enough, its meaning becomes larger than the event from which it came.

Then story crosses another threshold. MYTH becomes a vessel through which what happened once can reveal something that keeps happening.

A particular life begins carrying a universal question. A journey becomes a pattern. A wound becomes a teaching. A loss becomes a passage. A place becomes sacred. An encounter becomes initiation. A life becomes remembrance.

We do not become our own MYTHS by inventing ourselves.
We become our own MYTHS by living so truthfully that our lives become stories worth remembering.

This does not mean manufacturing the hero we hope others will remember. It is almost the opposite. We stop trying to control what our life will mean.

We live authentically, consciously, responsibly.

We offer our particular thread. And eventually, we surrender even the meaning our life will carry for others.

Because once our story enters relationship, it is no longer ours alone. Someone else will carry it. Someone else will understand it through their own life. Someone else will discover something we never intended to say.

This is not necessarily a betrayal of the story. It may be how the story remains alive.

Perhaps MYTH is Truth remembered in relationship.

Not one Truth possessed by one storyteller, but fragments held together without demanding that they become identical.

Different windows. One Light. Different threads. One Lattice.

The pluriverse does not require one story to defeat another before meaning can emerge.

Nor does it ask us to pretend that every account is equally true.

Stories remain accountable to what was lived, to those who were there, to the consequences they continue producing, and to the humility of knowing that no one sees the whole.

Truth may live between stories without belonging entirely to any one of them.

And this is where THE MYTHS begins to understand itself.

For years, we believed we were writing offerings. A reflection. A wound. A pilgrimage. A question. A revelation. A remembrance. A moment placed beside the fire.

One after another. Experiences became words. Words became offerings. Offerings entered other lives. Readers brought their own meanings. Places became stories. Stories began speaking to one another across time.

What appeared separate began revealing crossings. And eventually, the crossings revealed the Lattice.

Only from where we stand now could some of those earlier traces reveal what they had been becoming.

We live forward. But meaning does not always arrive from the same direction.

The future may illuminate the past. The present may transform what we remember.

What once appeared accidental may later reveal a pattern. What once felt like an ending may become an initiation. What once seemed like loss may become a doorway.

Not because the past changes, but because we do. And when we do, the story changes with us.

Perhaps this is why remembrance is not nostalgia. We do not return to the past to live there.

We allow what was to become present in a new way.

The lineage is not behind us. It lives through us.

Our ancestors are not merely those whose blood we carry. They are also the words, choices, wounds, gestures, places, teachings, and stories that continue to shape how we meet this moment.

And what we live now will become part of a lineage we may never see.

A word spoken today may become someone else's memory.

A choice may become precedent.

A kindness may become tradition.

A wound left unattended may become inheritance.

A wound transformed may become medicine.

This is why our stories carry responsibility.

The responsibility of The Living Word did not end when the Word was spoken.

The responsibility of Surrender did not end when control was released.

Both continue inside the stories our lives are creating.

And perhaps this is what it means to become our own MYTHS.

Not to make ourselves immortal. Not to control how we will be remembered. Not to carve our preferred image into the memory of others.

But to live in such a way that what passes through us can remain useful after it has ceased to belong to us.

A life given to Truth becomes service.

A life given in service leaves traces.

Traces become stories.

Stories shared become lore.

Lore enters the Lattice.

And the Lattice remembers.

Our offerings did not gather merely into an archive.

They became lore.

And when the lore was shared, it ceased belonging only to those who had lived or written it.

It entered relationship.

You read. I wrote. You remembered something I never knew. I offered a story. You placed your story beside it. Something crossed between us. And something new came into being.

Perhaps a MYTH cannot become alive in one consciousness alone. Perhaps it comes alive only when it is held within more than one consciousness.

When I know. And you know. And I know that you know.

And somewhere between us, the story becomes a shared reality.

Not because we have agreed on every detail. But because something has been recognised. Remembered. Carried. The story has entered the field.

THE MYTHS come alive when remembrance becomes relationship.

And now, what?

Perhaps there is nothing left to complete. No final explanation. No definitive account. No story that can contain all the stories. Only another threshold.

For THE MYTHS was never asking to become a finished mythology.

The moment it became fixed, it would cease to be alive.

The Lattice is not a monument. It is relationship, movement, exchange, remembrance.

A living field in which Spirit and matter, memory and imagination, the visible and invisible, the individual and collective, the past and future, continually meet in the everlasting present.

Perhaps THE MYTHS are born there.

Where spiritual essence enters matter. Where matter remembers Spirit. Where imagination becomes Word. Where Word becomes life. Where life is surrendered. Where surrender becomes service. Where service leaves traces. Where traces become stories. Where stories enter relationship. Where relationship becomes remembrance. Where remembrance again becomes creation. Where creation becomes Word. And where the Word again takes flesh.

The circle does not close. It opens into a Spiral.

We return again and again, but never to the same place.

Remembrance becomes creation. Creation becomes Word. And the movement begins again. Ascending. Evolving. Becoming.

Perhaps the story that remembers us is not the one that preserves who we believed ourselves to be. Perhaps it is the one that keeps asking: Do you remember who you are?

Not your name. Not your achievements. Not the identity you defended. But the particular thread you came here to offer. The Word you were asked to embody. The life you were asked to surrender. The Truth you were asked to serve.

Then perhaps we do not leave THE MYTHS behind. We become them.

Not by inventing a legend about ourselves. But by living the story only we can live with enough Presence, enough Authenticity, enough Responsibility, enough Surrender, and enough Love that what remains may help another Remember.

May we honour the stories that brought us here without becoming their prisoners.

May we tell our stories without mistaking them for the whole.

May we receive the lore entrusted to us without possessing it.

May we listen for the Truth living between different tellings.

May we transform what must not be passed on.

May we preserve what still carries Love and Light.

May the lives we are living become worthy of remembrance.

May our remembrance become relationship.

May our relationship become service.

May our service leave traces that others may one day gather into meanings we cannot yet imagine.

And when our names are forgotten, may what was true in the way we lived remain alive somewhere within the Lattice.

Remembering. And being remembered.

Love. Service. Remembrance.

Yo lo Creo / I believe, and so it is.
