Attention

Attention

Where the gaze rests, the world begins to answer.

What you seek is seeking you.

(Rumi)

For reading "Intent", we recommend

listening "Magic" from Ixchel Prisma:

The altar

where intent kneels.

The eye

through which the invisible

finds a door.

A hidden hand

bending the bow.

A silent aim

before the arrow flies.

The unseen

leaning of the soul.

This time

it is not intent.

This time

it is attention.

The sacred gaze.

The listening eye.

The place where the world

learns what we are calling.

What is your aim?

Where are you leaning?

Where is your mind bending?

Where are your hands reaching?

And for what purpose?

Pause.

Do I have your attention?

Because your attention

tells it all.

Not your words.

Not your plans.

Not the story

you have learned to tell.

Your attention.

Where it rests.

Where it returns.

Where it hungers.

Where it kneels.

What you seek

is what you see.

What you seek

is seeking you.

And what you attend to

begins to gather around you.

Your attention

is not passive.

Your attention

is creative.

Your attention

calls.

Your attention

selects.

Your attention

reveals.

Your attention

magnetizes.

It opens one door

and closes another.

It teaches the unseen

where to begin.

Where attention goes,

energy gathers.

Where energy gathers,

form begins.

Where form begins,

the invisible becomes visible.

This is the alchemy

of attention.

Not merely wanting.

Not wishing.

Not desire

dressed as prayer.

Attention is presence

with direction.

Purpose

joined with perception.

Vision

joined with willingness.

The soul

choosing where to look.

The mind

learning how to bow.

Attention is how we guide

the unseen.

It tells the universe:

Here.

This way.

Now.

It shows the invisible

where we are willing

to meet it.

Your purpose bends

the field before you.

Your longing

gives shape

to the path.

Your aim

invites the world

to answer.

What you intend,

you aim.

What you aim,

you seek.

What you seek,

you slowly become.

But without attention,

intent dissolves.

Without attention,

the arrow sleeps.

Without attention,

the mind scatters.

Without attention,

the heart drifts.

Without attention,

the body moves,

but never arrives.

You may be

busy.

You may be

in motion.

You may even be

admired

for your speed.

But without attention,

you are not truly going anywhere.

You are not lost

because the path is hidden.

You are lost

because the aim

has not been blessed.

Ask yourself gently:

What am I serving

with my attention?

What future am I feeding

with my gaze?

What wound

am I worshipping

with repetition?

What beauty

am I refusing

to behold?

What invisible thing

am I making visible

through my choices?

Life does not respond only

to what we say we want.

Life responds

to what we attend to.

Again.

And again.

And again.

Bless your aim.

Bend your mind

toward beauty.

Return your gaze

to what gives life.

Reach with purpose.

Walk with attention.

The arrow does not need

to see the whole journey.

The arrow only needs to know

where it is pointing.

May your attention

become clear.

May your aim

become clean.

May your gaze

become a blessing.

May your purpose

become visible

through your presence.

May the unseen meet you

where your truest attention

has already begun to walk.

I believe, and so it is.
