These seven illusions -forgetfulness, craving, ignorance, emotional turbulence, attachment to the physical, arrogance, and false wisdom- were never demons to fear. They are veils to outgrow, shadows to pass through on the way home.
(The Gospel of Mary Magdalene)

The soul's journey
back to the sacred source
is a path of unveiling.
Along this path,
we carry illusions
woven from ego,
fear,
and the sense
of separation.
These illusions
are not enemies
to fight,
they are
veils
to gently lift.
Walk with me
through the seven illusions
the soul must shed
to remember
it is one
with the divine
within.
The first veil:
forgetfulness.
The shadow
that falls
when the soul
forgets
its origin in God.
Not mere absent-mindedness,
but deep spiritual amnesia.
We live
as if
disconnected,
wandering
in a dream
where
the divine spark
feels
distant,
lost.
This forgetfulness
creates
a sense
of being
alone,
fragmented,
incomplete.
Yet,
beneath this fog,
the soul's
true nature
remains
untouched.
Remembering begins
with
a quiet moment
of stillness,
a breath,
that reconnects us
to the eternal presence
within.
When we pause,
the soul whispers
its truth:
You are not separate.
You are whole.
We are one.
The second veil:
craving.
The restless
search
for something
outside,
to fill,
the emptiness
inside.
The illusion
that fulfillment lies
in possessions,
achievements,
relationships.
But the soul knows:
nothing external
can complete
what is already whole.
This craving
pulls us away
from center,
chasing shadows
that vanish
upon approach.
Liberation begins,
when we turn inward,
and recognize
the wellspring of joy,
flowing from within.
True satisfaction
arises
when we stop
seeking
and start
being.
The third veil is:
ignorance.
The belief
in separation.
The idea
that we are
isolated beings
disconnected
from each other
and from God.
This illusion
fractures reality
into "self"
and "other,"
creating fear
and division.
Truth dissolves
this illusion
instantly.
When the soul
awakens
to oneness,
the walls
of separation
crumble.
We see
that every being
is a reflection
of the divine,
interconnected and
inseparable.
This realization
brings compassion,
unity, and
a profound sense
of belonging.
The fourth veil is:
emotional turbulence.
The one
that arises,
when
reactive feelings
dictate
our inner world.
Fear,
anger,
sadness,
anxiety.
They can
overwhelm
the mind,
pulling us away
from peace.
The soul's journey
asks us
to move
beyond reaction,
to cultivate
inner mastery.
Inner mastery
does not mean
suppressing emotions.
It means
allowing
Spirit
to guide
the mind.
When
we observe
emotions
without attachment,
we create
space
for healing and
clarity.
This shift
transforms
emotional storms
into gentle waves,
revealing
the calm
ocean beneath.
The fifth veil is:
attachment to the physical.
The soul's
essence
is often
hidden
beneath
the illusion
of physical
identity.
We mistake
the body,
roles, and
material possessions
for who we are.
This attachment
limits
our vision,
binds us
to impermanence.
Recognizing
that you are
a soul,
not a role,
frees you
from these chains.
The body
is a vessel,
a temporary
garment
for the soul's
journey.
When we
release
attachment
to the physical,
we open
to the eternal self
that transcends
form and time.
The sixth veil is:
arrogance.
Arrogance
is the ego's mask,
pretending to be
the true self.
It claims
superiority,
knowledge,
control.
Blinding us
to our shared
vulnerability and
divine origin.
This illusion
breeds
separation and
pride.
Humility
is not shrinking,
it is clarity.
The wisdom
to see
beyond
ego's facade
and embrace
the soul's
humble
greatness.
When
arrogance
falls away,
the heart
opens
to truth,
and the soul
shines
in its authentic
light.
The seventh veil:
false wisdom.
False wisdom
arises
when
the mind
tries
to replace
the quiet voice
of divine guidance
with
its own
reasoning and
logic.
The intellect
can be
a powerful
tool,
but
it cannot
substitute
the soul's
inner
knowing.
Stillness
reveals
the voice
of God
within.
In silence,
the soul
listens and
receives
guidance
beyond
words.
This sacred
wisdom
leads us
gently,
beyond
the illusions
of mind-made
knowledge,
into
the realm
of true
understanding.
These seven illusions:
forgetfulness,
craving,
ignorance,
emotional turbulence,
attachment to the physical,
arrogance, and
false wisdom,
were never
demons
to fear.
They are
veils
to outgrow,
shadows
to pass through
on our way
back home.
Liberation
comes
through
creation
and
inner union,
not obedience.
The path is within,
a sacred journey
shedding illusions,
remembering,
our divine essence.
Which illusions are you shedding?
Each step
of release
brings you closer
to the radiant truth
of who you are:
a soul, returning,
back home,
to the boundless love,
and light within.

I believe, and so it is
