New Moon in Libra.
New Moon in Libra.
The One Lives Through the Many.
Oneness does not require sameness. It asks us to remember that we belong to one another.
The centre is not where movement ceases. It is what allows us to move without losing ourselves.
Freedom becomes responsibility when we recognise that our choices never affect us alone.
At the Full Moon in Aries, following the September Equinox, we harvested courage.
The courage to live what we had discerned in the New Moon in Virgo. The courage to remain true to ourselves within our relationships. The courage to act without allowing fear to decide who we become.
Then came Suspension. We entered the stillness where imagination prepares what has yet to become visible.
And now, the wheel turns again.
The New Moon in Libra arrives on 10 October 2026. The tenth day of the tenth month of a year whose digits also add to ten: 10.10.10.
In numerology, ten holds the energy of one, the beginning, and zero, the infinite potential from which creation emerges.
In Tarot, the tenth Major Arcana is the Wheel of Fortune, reminding us of Life's cycles, unexpected turns and the impermanence of every condition.
Ten marks both completion and renewal. A cycle closes. Another begins.
Not necessarily because something outside us has changed, but because something within us is now ready to move differently.
The wheel turns, yet its centre remains.
Perhaps this is the medicine we have been preparing to receive.
At the Equinox, we encountered equilibrium for an instant. With Pramā, we began practising the measure that allows us to remain centred within Life's movement.
Aries asked us to stand in our truth.
Libra now asks us to bring that truth into relationship.
Who am I becoming in relation to everything and everyone around me?
Libra, represented by the scales, is traditionally associated with harmony, justice, reciprocity and partnership.
Yet harmony does not mean agreement. Justice does not always mean equality. Reciprocity does not require identical contributions. And Love does not ask us to disappear into one another.
The scales can only function because there are two sides.
Each must be allowed to exist. Each has its own weight.
Balance emerges not by making them identical, but through their relationship.
Perhaps the same is true of Oneness. Oneness is not sameness.
It does not require us to abandon our individuality, erase our differences or surrender the boundaries that allow us to remain true.
Oneness is the recognition that our individuality exists within a greater whole.
That we are distinct, yet never entirely separate.
That what we do to another, we also do to the relationships through which our own lives become possible.
And that the freedom we claimed under Aries carries with it the responsibility of how we exercise that freedom within the whole.
The One does not erase the Many. The One lives through the Many.
This is not simply a teaching about our intimate relationships.
It reaches into our families, communities, institutions, and our relationship with Mother Earth.
Into how we exercise authority, distribute responsibility, honour commitments and respond to those whose needs, experiences and convictions differ from our own.
Into whether we seek harmony by silencing differences or create the conditions in which differences may coexist, contribute and enrich one another.
Into whether we understand the world as something to possess or as a living web of relationships in which we participate.
Perhaps this is what right relationship asks of us.
Not to agree with everyone. Not to preserve every bond. Not to give endlessly without receiving. But to recognise the dignity, autonomy and belonging of the other while remaining responsible for our own choices.
To be fully ourselves without forgetting that we belong to one another.
We have been travelling, moving between places, generations, conversations and commitments. Returning home only to prepare for another departure. And somewhere within this movement, another teaching becomes visible.
We do not need the world to stand still to remain centred: We carry our centre with us.
Our relationships move and change. Our roles evolve. People arrive and depart. What once held us may no longer do so. New responsibilities emerge as others are fulfilled.
Yet the practice remains: To listen. To discern. To respond. To adjust our measure without abandoning our truth. Pramā in motion.
Under this New Moon, we are invited to plant a seed that may require more than one lunar cycle to reveal its harvest.
We are entering Autumn. Winter lies ahead.
Like the seed planted in Virgo, this one may need to remain unseen before its becoming is visible in Spring.
What we are planting is not another ambition, project or promise, but a vision of Oneness.
A commitment to cultivate right relationship within ourselves and with all our relations.
To move from separation towards belonging. From possession towards stewardship. From control towards reciprocity. From demanding sameness towards honouring difference. From imagining ourselves apart from Life towards recognising our participation within it.
Not because we know what the harvest will look like. But because we are willing to tend the relationships through which it may become possible.
The wheel is turning. We cannot determine everything it will bring. We can, however, choose how we participate. What we honour. What we release. What we repair. What we create. And with whom.
The future we long for begins with the relationships we choose to cultivate today.
The seed we plant is Oneness through right relationship.
May we tend it through the darkness. And allow Love to reveal what wishes to become.
Remember
Oneness does not require sameness. It asks us to remember that we belong to one another.
The centre is not where movement ceases. It is what allows us to move without losing ourselves.
Freedom becomes responsibility when we recognise that our choices never affect us alone.
Practice
Find a quiet place.
Sit comfortably with both feet upon the Earth.
Take twelve slow, conscious breaths.
With each breath, become aware of your centre.
Imagine a wheel turning around you.
Its movement represents the relationships, responsibilities, expectations and changes that accompany your life.
Do not attempt to stop it.
Remain at its centre.
Now bring to mind one relationship asking for your attention.
It may be with someone you love, someone with whom you disagree, a community, a commitment, or yourself.
Ask:
What is this relationship asking of me?
What is mine to give, and what is not mine to carry?
How might I honour both myself and the other?
Listen without rushing towards an answer.
Then choose one small gesture of right relationship.
A conversation. An act of gratitude. A boundary. An apology. An invitation. A commitment honoured.
Only one.
Allow that gesture to become the seed you plant under this New Moon. And tend it.
Journaling
- Where in my life am I confusing harmony with agreement, or belonging with conformity?
- Which relationship is inviting me to practise a different measure of giving and receiving?
- How can I remain true to myself while honouring the autonomy and dignity of another?
- What vision of Oneness am I willing to cultivate through Winter, even if I cannot yet imagine its Spring harvest?
Blessing
May I remain centred as the Wheel of Life continues turning.
May I honour my individuality without mistaking it for separation.
May I recognise the sacred dignity of those whose paths differ from mine.
May I remember that reciprocity is not a transaction, but a living expression of belonging.
May I plant without possessing, tend without controlling, and trust what continues to grow unseen.
May the coming Winter nourish the seeds of a world in which difference becomes richness, freedom becomes responsibility, and relationship becomes the ground upon which we create together.
And may this New Moon in Libra remind us that the One lives through the Many, that we are each an expression of the same mystery, and that everything we create from Love, with Light, contributes to the world we are becoming.
Yo lo Creo / I believe, and so it is.
